The Fire Beneath
When obscurities fall and skies grow dim,
and winds of uncertainty begin to brim,
Hold fast the flare that burns inside,
for courage blooms where fears reside.
A heart of steel, though mutilated and worn,
still rises stout at every dawn.
Through tribunals deep and mountains steep,
it beats with hope that will not sleep.
For in the murkiest hour’s chill,
the spirit stances, unbroken still.
With every pace, with every stride,
the weight of uncertainty is cast aside.
Optimism, like morningâs light,
cuts over the long and infinite night.
It murmurs soft, âThe way is clearâ
No path is mislaid, no dream too dear.â
So walk with valour in your soul,
Though squalls may try to take their toll.
